Lagunitas Watershed Stream Bank Restoration WorkshopHelp Restore Coho Habitat! And, learn valuable creek bank stabilization techniques that will empower citizen volunteers to help restore critical salmon habitat in our own communities. On October 6th, we will sustainably harvest willow for use on the 7th and 8th when we will create a brush mattress and willow wall to stabilize an eroded bank along beautiful San Geronimo Creek. This workshop is a three-day event designed to demonstrate the techniques used to stabilize creek banks and reduce sedimentation into local creeks critically important to endangered coho salmon. Please sing up ASAP since space is limited. RSVP by September 16th. A firm commitment is strongly encouraged to ensure project success. Creekside residents with bank erosion problems are especially encouraged to attend. Call 415.488.0370 x012, or email Paola@SpawnUSA.org. This project is sponsored by the Salmon Protection and Watershed Network, Marin Resources Conservation District, and Regional Water Quality Control Board. Hope You Can Join Us on the Creek! |
