February 5, 2012
10:30AM to 1:30PM
Join SPAWN and EcoJews of the Bay for this special Sunday restoration event celebrating Tu B'shvat, the Jewish New Year for the trees. In celebration of this holiday and the endangered coho, we will plant native trees and shrubs to restore salmon habitat at Roy's Pools at the San Geronimo Valley Golf Course. Your assistance on February 5th will help protect and restore in-stream habitat for coho salmon by reducing non-point source pollution from bare hillsides and streambanks. Together we will help establish a healthy riparian forest to enhance water quality, provide shading and cover for the stream, and create habitat for a diversity of native plants and wildlife. Glove and tools will be provided. Please bring your own water, lunches, and sunscreen. A community sedar for all volunteers will follow. Contact
Jonathan Appelbaum for more information and to RSVP.
