Who: Mark Lakeman of the City Repair Project, an organized group action that educates and inspires communities and individuals to creatively transform the places where they live.

City Repair facilitates artistic and ecologically-oriented placemaking through projects that honor the interconnection of human communities and the natural world.

City Repair inspires and guides the transformation of the typical American city into a vital social commons. This presentation compares the historic settlement patterns of village societies with the dominant forces of Western colonization as a context for describing City Repair's work.
