LAGUNITAS CREEK RESTORATION WORKDAY
w/ Naturalist-led field trips to boot!


Learn to restore watershed habitat, propagate native plants,
and celebrate another coho season!


WHEN: Saturday, January 20th 9:00am -2:00pm
WHERE: Leo T. Cronin Fish Viewing Area


Join MMWD, SPAWN, and AmeriCorps as we improve spawning conditions for Coho Salmon along upper Lagunitas Creek. In the morning, help us restore native habitat in the watershed above Lagunitas Creek. Then, spend the afternoon with experienced naturalists learning about Lagunitas Creek, native plants and songbirds, and coho salmon and steelhead!

Tools, gloves, snacks, water, and parking access provided by MMWD. Please bring a lunch and wear layers, sturdy shoes, and long pants.

FAMILIES WELCOME! This event is appropriate for children over the age of 7 if accompanied by an adult. Groups are welcome! Call the MMWD Volunteer Program at (415) 945-1169 for more information.

Directions to Leo T. Cronin Fish Viewing Area:
From HWY101, head West on Sir Francis Drake Blvd. through Fairfax and continue approximately 8 miles. After passing through Lagunitas, cross Shafter Bridge (second light-green bridge). Turn into the parking lot on the left, immediately beyond the bridge. If you pass a Samuel P. Taylor State Park sign, you have gone too far.
