S.P.A.W.N Hike Under the Full Moon, Redwoods - May 31

April 29, 2007 through June 1, 2007
BLUE MOON HIKE IN MUIR WOODS

Join S.P.A.W.N. on a moonlit hiked under the redwoods with Mia Monroe (Muir Woods National Monument Supervisor, SPAWN member). Mia has dedicated over 20-years of her life to the protection and management of Muir Woods and CA's endangered owls and salmon.

In her own words:
"Spend a long evening among the tall forests as the day draws to a close, the night comes alive and the blue moon shines above Redwood Creek Watershed. Walk the Muir Woods trails to discover clues to this old growth forest's story. We will learn about redwood ecology, observe special plants and animals that find shelter here and enjoy the peaceful quiet of an ancient forest."

WHEN: THURSDAY, May 31.
6-8PM: Special SPAWN members-only forest walk with Mia Monroe from 6-8pm.
8-10PM: Owlers have the option to continue into the night.

COST: Free. Family membership encouraged ($35) to support SPAWN's programs.
