SPECIAL Riparian Exploration! May 13th

April 29, 2007 through April 15, 2007

Riparian Connections: A Migratory Songbirds Journey

Salmon are among the many migratory species that call Marin home at one time or another in their life-history. Join SPAWN member David Wimpfheimer, a biologist and a professional naturalist, on a field trip in the beautiful Lagunitas Creek Watershed (West Marin County) to experience firsthand the diversity of migratory songbirds breeding in Marin's streamside forests at this time of year. David has over twenty-five years of experience exploring the natural history of the West. Mammalian critters, lizards, butterflies, reptiles, baby coho salmon and steelhead: Be prepared to discover the unexpected!
