Join SPAWN member and biologist David Wimpfheimer (http://www.calnaturalist.com/) on a field trip in the beautiful Lagunitas Creek Watershed (West Marin County) to experience firsthand the diversity of migratory (and resident) songbirds breeding in Marin's streamside forests at this time of year. David has over twenty-five years of experience exploring the natural history of the West. Hawks, woodpeckers, thrushes, flycatchers, warblers, finches, mammalian critters, lizards, butterflies, reptiles, baby coho salmon and steelhead: Be prepared to discover the unexpected!

David will teach methods of bird identification by sight and sound and also focus on bird behavior. Bring binoculars and a field guide.
