Salmon Grow on Trees - How Restoration of Riparian Forests Can Nurture the Recovery of Marin's Coho Salmon"

Illustrated presentation by guest speaker Paola Bouley, SPAWN watershed biologist, in partnership with Save the Redwoods League.

Please visit http://www.savetheredwoods.org/involvement/events.shtml

Lagunitas coho salmon are listed as endangered at the State and federal level and are the largest remaining wild run of coho salmon in Central California. The Salmon Protection and Watershed Network (SPAWN) is a non-profit organization in West Marin working to protect and restore endangered salmon populations and creek ecosystems.

Paola will talk about the importance of riparian forests and floodplains to salmon in California with a focus on grassroots efforts to revive and protect these important forests and Marin's coho salmon. She will also highlight SPAWN's program achievements accomplished in partnership with Save the Redwoods League.
