October 17th - WSP Intern Restoration Project # 3

October 17, 2009
CREEKSIDE RESTORATION with SPAWN's WSP INTERNS!The third installment of a 3-part restoration effort along Lagunitas Creek in the Golden Gate National Recreation Area.

We are continuing our work to completely transform a historically impacted floodplain area by removing invasives and preparing to plant native plants beneficial to salmon and freshwater shrimp. Come on out and have some fun along the creek!

WHEN: Saturday, October 17th from 10am - 1pm

WHERE: SPAWN office in Tocaloma at 9255 Sir Frances Drake Blvd. Take SFD Blvd from Fairfax, continue on through the town of Lagunitas and on past Samuel P. Taylor Park Camp Headquarters. Keep going as if heading towards Olema.

Once you pass the parking lot for Devil's Gulch Park (on your left still on SFD Boulevard) the turn for the house is just a little over 1-mile further west on on your left. Look for the red salmon on the fence and the orange road cones. We are in the house with all the stone work on the outside. If you reach Platform Bridge Road, you have gone 1-mile to far west.

If coming from west on SFD Boulevard, it is 2 miles from Olema on your right.
